Malaysia world no2 team lost!!!
yesterday was the quarter finals of the world championships badminton between malaysia & japan which was held at bukit jalil.. was watching the match live on astro.. the match was very intense at first with japan winning the first set & malaysia winning the second.. in the third set, our malaysia team had the lead so many times but because of their stupid mistakes, japan was able to come back & even winning the quarter final match.. wtf.. results, world no2 kien keat & boon heong lost to japan.. haizz.. disappointment.. here's the match summary from thestar online..
Second seeds Kien Keat-Boon Heong, seen as perhaps Malaysia’s best hopes to win the doubles title, fell to a shocking 13-21, 21-17, 23-25 defeat by Japan’s number two pair of Shuichi Sakamoto-Shintaro Ikeda.
It was the first time the Malaysians, the world number two pair, had lost to a lower ranked pair.
However, Kien Keat-Boon Heong, who were never given a chance to show their attacking skills from the start, just failed to kill off the determined Japanese.
Japan doubles coach Park Joo-bong was ecstatic with his charges for making history as the first men's doubles pair to win a medal in the 30-year-old history of the world championships.
